The outsourced model continues to gain traction as ASPs provide offline access to data and enable Outlook to communicate with the hosted system via Web services, providing the 360-degree closed-loop management promised by CRM vendors but never fully achieved in the past. Salesforce.com and Salesnet.com offer fully integrated hosted solutions, removing the burden of maintenance and lowering the cost of acquisition.
