You may know him as @networkingnerd on Twitter, as the author of the popular blog of the same name, or from his work as an organizer of the Tech Field Day event series. Or you may have seen him making Cisco Live even livelier in the guise of the SDNicorn. The man behind the mask is Tom Hollingsworth, and we are excited to have him as the instructor for our first Network Computing/InformationWeek University program next week.
Tom is CCIE #29213 and a former VAR network engineer with extensive experience working with primary education and the technology challenges faced there. He has worked with wireless, storage, server virtualization and unified communications -- in addition to routing and switching.
In his current role, Tom acts as influencer, tech translator, and mentor to IT professionals. He interacts with countless members of the IT community, vendors and organizations, giving him a unique and objective perspective on technology trends and best practices.
Tom will be presenting Automating The Modern Application-Friendly Datacenter on October 27, 28, and 29, exploring how enterprises can make their data center networks more efficient and agile to keep up with virtualization, the cloud, and ever-increasing application demands.
Sessions start at 12 pm ET/9 am PT each day:
You'll learn about the different stages of adapting networking technology in the data center to an application-friendly architecture, one that embraces technologies that provide high availability, scale and automation so that your applications can thrive.
Click over to register for one day, two, or the entire program. We'll send you a reminder the day of the event. And get your questions ready, because the format includes live audience Q&A in our text chat.
Hope to see you there!
