VoIP Council Merges With International Packet Communications Consortium

The International Packet Communications Consortium (IPCC) announced that the International VoIP Council into its organization. Through the combination, the two organizations expect to accelerate the development of VoIP and packet communications markets and solutions. The combined organization will retain the IPCC name and structure.

Neal Shact the International VoIP council chairman said that the two organizations will be able to accomplish more by joining forces with the IPCC, and the membership of both organizations unanimously voted for the integration. Shact will become community developer at IPCC, and work with Michael Khalilian, IPCC's president and chairman, to expand the IPCC community.

With the merger, IPCC's service provider board will gain new members, including Bell Canada, Telus, DeltaThree and Net2Phone.
