RainWall Helps Ensure Service Levels For ISA Server Deployments

Rainfinity today announced that its RainWall High Availability Platform will provide load balancing and high availability for Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2004. ISA Server 2004 is the advanced application layer firewall, VPN and Web cache solution that lets users leverage current IT investments by improving network security and performance.

The RainWall High Availability Platform is aimed at helping customers attain continued access to external networks for customers managing more than one ISA Server system. According to the company, the RainWall High Availability Platform helps businesses prevent interruptions in their Internet access by automatically detecting Internet outages and re-routing traffic, including VPN traffic, to an alternate path.

In addition, RainWall also offers clustering and failover capabilities for ISA Server 2004 and can be deployed directly on the ISA Server 2004 system. The need for additional hardware requirements, such as external load balancers, may therefore be reduced. RainWall's management console is a Microsoft Management Console snap-in that integrates with the ISA Server 2004 management interface. Monitored resources are also displayed in the Windows Performance Monitor for ease of management.
