Instead, it's merely selfish turf-protection by Alexander and those like him, who wish to keep things the way they are now -- with their hands on the taxes you've been paying. Thanks to technology like Voice over IP, there's now a chance and a reason to question, and perhaps break apart these long-accepted but rarely questioned fees on information services. Or, we can keep things the way they are, and hope for the best. Here's hoping reason prevails.
