McCaw To Announce Nationwide Wireless Broadband Service: Page 2 of 2

Wireless entrepreneur Craig McCaw Wednesday unveiled his plans for a nationwide wireless broadband network.

Clearsite's Web site said the service will provide 1.5 Mbps download speeds. The company says that consumers can be online in 15 minutes or less and professional installation won't be required.

McCaw was an early wireless entrepreneur, starting a cellular phone that eventually became AT&T Wireless. McCaw will serve as Clearwire's chairman and CEO.
