Sony Electronics Professional Disc for Data Sony has reintroduced optical storage for its ProData format in blue laser drives. ProData drives use blue laser technology to create 23 GB of storage capacity on a single-sided disc. With advertised read and write speeds of 11 MB per second and 9 MB per second, respectively, the drives are designed specifically for professional storage apps.
