FUDBusters: Justice Department: Prosecute P2P Users, Vendors

FUDBust: If the proposed "Pirate Act" and "Induce Act" are passed, end users could be fined and/or jailed for innocently leaving files open to P2P sharing. And legitimate vendors such as Kazaa could be sued for "inducing" users to infringe copyrights. Are we missing something, or did the United States suddenly become a dictatorship?

How would such laws be enforced? Is the FBI going to check everybody's computers for open file-sharing programs? We may as well bring back Prohibition--it made more sense and was easier to enforce.
