Foundry Falters, Readies IPv6 Wares: Page 2 of 2

"They all know IPv6 is going to happen, it's just a matter of how quickly," Schiff said. Foundry's IPv6 line cards for the BigIron chassis, which will be generally available by July, will be priced from $34,995 (for a 2-port 10-Gigabit Ethernet card) to $49,995 for a 40-port Gigabit Ethernet card. Cards for the NetIron chassis, a router typically used by ISPs, are priced slightly higher. Foundry said it will be demonstrating the new cards in its booth at the upcoming Networld + Interop trade show in Las Vegas, May 11-14.
