Lisle sees hope for greater diversity in the kinds of storage-related services emerging for SMBs. Companies with fewer than 1,000 employees, for instance, might opt to have their carrier host a second data center, rather than build one. "Very high-end users will do WDM over dark fiber," he says. But he sees the rest of the world being keenly interested in a range of Sonet SAN services.
