The market needs evangelists -- someone that has no other choice but to believe their way is the best. It forces you to rethink. I know that many users look at these evangelists and think "marketing hack," but users really need these guys. Someone that will look at a problem differently. True, you can make the case that they are paid to think that way and that they should be discredited. But if you think about it, those that work for a manufacturer, or even IT users themselves, are influenced or motivated one way or another.
Someone preach to me. Don't tell me I can have what I want. Convince me that your way is better!
