Network Intelligence on Wednesday updated its security event management (SEM) software, and debuted a new line of SEM appliances.
The Westwood, Mass.-based company's enVision management software has been refreshed, said Network Intelligence, with enhancements that include customized alerts, and support for additional network and security hardware -- including Jupiter routers, Foundry switches, Cisco's Content Server Switch, and Check Point's appliances.
enVision 2.003 also includes a new baseline comparison feature that lets administrators compare security activity to a similar timeframe in the past.
The new software is embedded in Network Intelligence's EX, HA, and LS series appliances, and the 50 Series hardware it also announced Wednesday.
The 50 Series' appliances -- which includes five new appliance models, two in the EX line targeting small- and medium-sized businesses, three in the HA family that's aimed at enterprises -- feature 55 percent more processing power than earlier models, said Network Intelligence, for faster correlation of security event data.
